PIANO

Piano is one of the most popular instruments to learn. This instrument provides a solid visual reference for scales and melodies. It is extremely versatile allowing students to play a myriad of styles.

Benefits of learning piano include improving memory, coordination, aural skills, math and language skills, especially in young children. Before taking private lessons, children ages 3-6 may benefit from registering in our Music in Early Childhood program to get a solid musical foundation.

Private piano lessons are available for all levels and various ages.

Intermediate to advanced students can learn composition, improvisation, theory, ear training and harmony to further their skills. They also have the opportunity to perform at our annual Scholarship Competition.

Jazz piano lessons are available for those interested in jazz, improvisation and contemporary music.

Many of our piano students have performed at world-renowned festivals and competitions won prestigious scholarships and awards, and become professional musicians through post-secondary education.

Our teachers have strong pedagogical aptitudes and perform at a professional level as soloists, chamber musicians and accompanists.
