Steps to apply

Review the specific admission requirements listed on each program’s website, including academic criteria and any additional requirements such as résumés, references, portfolios or work experience.

Be sure to check deadlines and confirm that the minimum qualifications are met, especially for competitive programs, which may have higher standards or additional criteria.

Admission requirements

MacEwan University evaluates high school courses based on the Alberta Education curriculum. While this page outlines these categories and provides examples, it is not an exhaustive list, so specific programs may have different admission requirements for certain subjects or groups.

For the most up-to-date information, refer to the admission requirements on each program’s website.

HIGH SCHOOL SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS

If the student’s primary language is not English, proof of English language proficiency (ELP) must be provided with the application. This requirement ensures the student has the best opportunity for success at MacEwan.
