MacEwan International staff are here to help you adjust to university life in a new country. We provide current students with immigration-related services, academic advising, cultural support and community-building opportunities.
Talk to us about your academics, immigration, settlement and life in Canada. We can direct you to on-campus resources and other supports to make your international education experience a success.
Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) and Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIA) require international students to sign a consultation agreement before the first meeting to confirm the scope of immigration advice that can be provided, outline student and advisor responsibilities, and explain privacy, confidentiality limits and consent for information sharing in accordance with legal and institutional policies.

Immigration labs are only available to current students. During the 2-hour immigration lab, an international student specialist will be available to answer questions while you apply for extensions, work permits or immigration documents for your family. Use the Immigration Lab Guide to prepare before you attend a lab.

Initial study permit feedback is only available for students applying for their first study permit in Canada who would like to understand the process and receive feedback on their application.
