On Campus
Meet prospective employees, recent grads, summer students and interns on their own turf. Our students know that first impressions are lasting impressions, and they attend on-campus recruitment and guest speaker events prepared to learn and impress.
Annual career and grad school fairs
Careers and Experience organizes three annual career fairs: one in the Fall semester, another at the start of the Winter semester and a third towards the end of the Winter Semester. The Fall Career Fair typically occurs in October. The Summer Career Fair takes place in January or early February, offering an early opportunity for employers with a summer/seasonal recruitment cycle to engage with MacEwan University students.
We also host a Graduate and Professional School Fair in the Fall semester, where there are often over 20 schools in attendance. It is a great opportunity for students to talk directly to representatives from your institution about master's programs, medical or law school training, and more.
Exhibitors
As an exhibitor at one of our fairs, you meet hundreds of students, soon-to-be graduates and alumni from over 60 programs. Find students whose career and education goals align with your opportunities.
Registration typically includes:
- 8-ft. wide x 5-ft. deep booth
- One 5-ft. table
- Two chairs
- Tablecloth and tableskirt
- Access to Wi-Fi
- Coffee and pastries in the morning
- Boxed lunches for two representatives
- Up to two parking passes (though carpooling is encouraged)
The registration fee includes two representatives.

Career portal perks
Be the first to learn about recruitment opportunities through MacEwanLife, our career portal. Receive invitations to career-related events, learn about on-campus opportunities and have the ear of students who are seeking work and practicum placements.
Recruit to suit
We offer a variety of on-campus events to complement your organization's recruitment strategy and schedule. With an average annual enrolment of more than 18,000 students, MacEwan University is a major contributor to part-time and full-time labour markets in Edmonton and across the province.
Host a networking mixer or information session. Meet students where they feel comfortable and confident. When you book a networking or information session at our conveniently located campus in downtown Edmonton, all you have to do is arrive on time. We book the room, provide technical assistance, arrange for catering* and promote the event through social media, student clubs and MacEwanLife, our career portal.
Book at least two weeks in advance to allow for arrangement and promotion of your session. More time is needed if you require catering.
Rates:
$400 + GST/session
$200 + GST/session for registered charities
*Catering is an additional cost and is dependent on the food ordered.
Interview schedules can be tricky to organize, especially if several MacEwan students make your “long list” or if you are an out-of-town employer wanting to conduct interviews as efficiently as possible. We can lend a hand by arranging interviews with our students right on campus. On-campus interviews are easier for students to fit into their schedules and require less planning for you.
Several types of interview rooms are available. Please book at least five business days in advance so we can make arrangements.
Rates:
$100 + GST/room
$75 + GST/room for registered charities
Use your recruitment budget when it suits you best. You don’t have to wait for a career fair or recruitment event to let students know about your organization or business. Schedule a time to visit campus. While here, you can increase brand awareness and promote employment opportunities.
Your display table booking includes:
- A 2' x 5' table and two chairs, set up in a high-traffic area
- Access to Wi-Fi
- Social media publicity
Book a table at least 10 business days (2 weeks) in advance.

$200 + GST/table
$100 +GST/table for registered charities
Tell your career story. Share tales humorous or harrowing about resumés gone awry or interview gaffes. Market your organization by mentoring students and sharing your expertise.
We welcome the opportunity to partner with organizations or individuals who are interested in supporting our students through resumé reviews, mock interviews and advice about the transition from university to workplace.
