Canadian-American relations and the Vietnam War, defying patriarchy during the Spanish Civil War, life as a Soviet teenager in the 1970s—the topics we discuss at the History Bites speaker series enlighten you with a glimpse of our presenters’ areas of research or snapshots of upcoming or past conference papers.

Hosted twice each term, the half-hour presentations, led by a history student or faculty member, are followed by a casual question-and-answer period. So, grab your lunch, grab a friend and bring your love of history to the History Bites noon-hour speaker series.

Meetings are generally held in 7-355. Dates, location and time announced in class.

History Bites then and now

The History Bites speaker series began in 2014 and has been giving students a place to learn from their professors and to showcase their own work ever since. Enjoy these posters from past presentations.
