A liberal arts education opens minds, cultivates character and teaches you to understand issues, topics, texts and people on their own terms. You learn to think critically, write persuasively and appreciate past and current cultures.
The humanities prepare you to get jobs, go to graduate school and tackle issues in thoughtful and meaningful ways. We offer courses in the following disciplines: history, philosophy, humanities, classics, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Latin, Greek and nêhiyawêwin (Cree).
We offer senior-level courses that allow you to explore specialized content or emerging issues in greater depth. The topics change each year and reflect the particular expertise of our faculty members.
