DATES & DEADLINES
Application deadlines for programs at MacEwan University are based on when you want to start your studies (the intake term). All of MacEwan University’s programs admit new students in the fall. Some programs offer additional intakes in the winter, spring or summer terms.
We begin accepting applications on the following dates. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible after applications open in order to improve your chances for admission.

International applicants: Unless an earlier closing date is indicated, international applicants must apply by May 1 for Fall intake, October 1 for Winter intake, and January 30 for Spring/Summer intake.
International students considering Open Studies should consult with an international recruiter in MacEwan International prior to submitting an application.

Course completion deadlines indicate the last day a course can be completed to be considered for admission purposes. If you apply for admission while you are completing coursework or diploma exams, you must complete courses before the appropriate completion deadline or they will not be used in the admissions evaluation.
Competitive programs generally have earlier admission deadlines than other programs. Your courses must be completed by the following deadlines to be used in the admissions evaluation for competitive programs.

Transcripts, educational documents and other materials* requested for the purpose of admission evaluation must be received no later than two weeks after applications close. Unofficial documents would be accepted at this time.
