Emergency Preparedness & Response

When an emergency arises, there are steps you can take to keep yourself and the MacEwan community safe. You can also prepare before an emergency arises by becoming familiar with safety guidelines and protocols.

Emergency Preparedness Orientation

When you prepare for an emergency before it happens, you can better respond safely and thoughtfully in the moment. The Emergency Preparedness Orientation course is available to all students, staff and faculty.

Respond to an emergency

The way you respond to an emergency depends on the unique situation you find yourself. Learn how to respond in these situations. Before an emergency occurs, take note of exits, alternate exits, defibrillators, fire-alarm pull stations, and fire extinguishers as you make your way around campus.
