FUTURE STUDENTS
University life
Make the most of your university experience by trying new activities, making new friends and building relationships that open doors to new opportunities. Along the way, you’ll find that being a student is more than what happens in the classroom.
Immerse yourself fully in university life when you cheer on the mighty Griffins, participate in a drumming demonstration, travel abroad with the Model UN student club, volunteer for a cause you’re passionate about and so much more.

A welcoming campus
A supportive environment outside the classroom helps you perform your best in the classroom and contributes to your personal, social and emotional well-being.
What’s on?
Visiting speakers, student presentations, Griffins games, theatre and musical performances, art exhibits, SAMU events—there's always something exciting happening at MacEwan.
Mental Health Week
In January, we raise awareness about mental health and explore ways to create a supportive campus.
Black History Month
In February, we celebrate Black Canadians' contributions to Canada.
Pride Week
In March, we celebrate the diversity of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and allies during Pride Week.
Consent Action Week
In October, we host critical conversations around consent and sexual violence prevention.
Do you love plants, politics or movies? Are you curious about history, acupuncture or environmentalism? At the Students’ Association of MacEwan University (SAMU), you can find student groups geared to almost any interest. Find out what’s on tap—or start a new group of your own.
Interested in volunteering, but you're not sure how to start or where you're needed? Support events and programs that inspire you or seek out groups that share your passion. Find out who’s looking for volunteers to lend a hand—and a heart.

Our campus welcomes you with a large green space right outside the front doors; it's the perfect place to hang out, catch some sun on a warm day or kick a ball around.
Places to study, relax and play are scattered across campus.
Students from the Department of Art and Design exhibit and sell their creations at the annual Art and Design show.
MacEwan's iconic clock towers, located in the middle of campus, make us one of most recognizable downtown landmarks.
At the campus block party, students, faculty, staff and the public take to the streets for an outdoor celebration.
Kick off the school year at Fall Fest, the ultimate back-to-school party.
Catch up with friends, hit the books, enjoy a coffee—you'll find plenty of great spots on campus to hang out between classes.
In February, MacEwan celebrates Black History Month, recognizing the achievements and contributions of Black Canadians.
