SUSTAINABILITY
Tools & Resources
At Macewan, we’re working toward key sustainability goals. You can make an impact on campus with the help of a few tools and resources. You can also read plans and reports from over the years to see how far we’ve come and where we’re heading.
Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) address global challenges like poverty, education and climate action—issues that impact us here at MacEwan. From small actions like recycling to large campus initiatives like our community gardens, we’re part of the solution.

Inner Development Goals
The Inner Development Goals (IDGs) help us grow as individuals and as a community. Rooted in five key areas—Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating and Acting—the IDGs encourage self-awareness, emotional intelligence, empathy and teamwork. At MacEwan, these principles guide our learning and sustainability efforts.

Explore local businesses
We asked MacEwan students to share their favourite local businesses within walking distance of campus. Whether you're looking for something fun to do, a go-to lunch spot or a cozy study hangout, this student-approved directory has you covered. Check it out and explore some of the best spots downtown has to offer.
