Hands-on, movement-focused rehabilitation for injury prevention and management.
Our athletic therapists are here to help you return to work and play as quickly as possible. We provide comprehensive assessments and individualized treatments to prevent injuries, manage acute and chronic conditions, and support your recovery after surgery.
Our services include:
- Myofascial release, soft tissue release and joint mobilizations
- Electrotherapeutic modalities including interferential current therapy, ultrasound and muscle stimulation
- Pre- and post-operative care
- Strength and conditioning for injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance
- Pilates for spinal rehabilitation
- Concussion management, including assessment, treatment and return to play support
- Access to physicians and sport psychologists through MacEwan University Health Centre

Athletic therapists
Adrienne is an Athletic Therapist serving the MacEwan Griffins varsity athletes, students, staff, and the Edmonton community. Adrienne attended Sheridan College and graduated in 2008 with a degree Honors Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy). Since 2008 Adrienne has worked in a wide range of Athletic Therapy settings, including private clinics, university athletics and high schools. In addition, she has served as an Athletic Therapy consultant for the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League since 2012. Adrienne is also a Certified First Aid instructor with the Canadian Red Cross.
Adrienne enjoys working as an Athletic Therapist because it allows her to work with collegiate athletes and people from all walks of life. Her passion is helping people achieve their goals, whether returning to the field, gym, or workplace.
Jennifer is the head athletic therapist for MacEwan University Griffins Athletics. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology, a Masters in Kinesiology and an Athletic Therapy Certificate at York University. Jennifer has extensive experience working with a number of sports at club, university, national and professional levels. Her strong background in strength and conditioning and Pilates contributes to her success in the clinical setting. At MacEwan, Jennifer works with Griffins athletes to ensure their health before the season and to return them to play if an injury occurs.
Paul joined the MacEwan Griffins in 2018 as an Athletic Therapist with the varsity hockey program. Since then, his role has grown to serve varsity athletes, students, staff, and the Edmonton community through the MacEwan Athletic Therapy Clinic. Paul graduated from Sheridan College with an Honors Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (Athletic Therapy) degree in 2018. Paul previously attained an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from Trent University. His noteworthy Athletic Therapy experience includes a year-long internship with the Raptors 905 (G-League). Paul has also earned a Merit Award from the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association in 2019 and an Alberta Health Services EMS Citizen Award in 2022.
As an Athletic Therapist, Paul enjoys helping anyone seeking to improve their physical well-being, helping them achieve goals and realize their true physical potential for a fun, active lifestyle.
