Pride Week
Start the month off with a celebration! Pride Week runs from March 10 to 14, and balances insightful conversations with joyful activities around this year’s theme of “The Queer Agenda.”
Spend March 3 to 7 poster making so you’re prepared to show your support at MacEwan’s annual Pride March, which heads across campus between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on March 10.
When you’re finished marching, dance your heart out in the Rainbow Room at Sport and Wellness. Need a break from all that dancing? Make your way to SAMU’s Pride Lounge, a drop-in space for relaxing, listening to music and sipping on non-alcoholic margaritas.

Be sure to RSVP with your song choice and get ready to hit the stage.

Squeeze in a lunchtime workout at Glitter and Glow Spin before you slow things down with a look into Poetry and Prose that afternoon – listen to other MacEwan students’ compositions or share your own at the open mic.
There’s no shortage of events that evening, either. Grab a ticket to SAMU’s Dirty Sexy Bingo at Towers, or register for Dancefloor as Community and Resistance at kihêw waciston.
End the week on a high note at the YEG Campus Pride Gayla – a celebration of community and embracing your true self, along with other Edmonton post-secondary institutions. Grab your tickets now!
