MacEwan University is pleased to announce the 2022 Distinguished Teaching Award recipient. As one of the university's highest honours, the Distinguished Teaching Award recognizes MacEwan faculty who excel in teaching and learning.

This year’s award will be given to Dr. Kristine Peace, associate professor, Department of Psychology. In addition to being a respected scholar in her field of forensic psychology, Dr. Peace has garnered a reputation for being a thoughtful, passionate educator. Her teaching philosophy centres on what she calls her CAPE principles: Connectivity, Accessibility, Productivity and Exploration. For Dr. Peace, these principles are the foundation of an engaging, inclusive and accessible classroom environment.

“Dr. Peace’s approach to teaching and her research mentorship have inspired and engaged many students,” says Dr. Craig Monk, provost & vice-president, Academic. “We are thrilled to be able to recognize her contributions with the Distinguished Teaching Award.”
