EDUCATION ABROAD
Inbound Students
Choose from a variety of courses that will enhance your understanding of Canadian culture, introduce you to a student-centered post-secondary learning experience and provide you with a strong foundation in academics.
To attend MacEwan University as an inbound exchange student, your home university must have a formal agreement with us. Contact an exchange advisor at your institution for information on exchange agreements and the nomination process. We can only advise students who have been formally nominated for an exchange.
Application process
Apply through our online application and include the following with your application:
If your primary language is not English, you must present proof of English language proficiency with your application unless you are applying from one of our partner institutions for whom this requirement is waived in our agreement.
Please inquire with the international office at your home institution for details.
You must take between three and five courses per term while you study at MacEwan.
Select 10 courses from the list of courses available to exchange students and rank them in order of preference on your application form. We will use your lower ranked alternates if a preferred course has filled or is unsuitable based on your academic preparation.
Please inquire with the international office at your home institution for the most updated list of courses.
If you are planning to take Bachelor of Communication Studies (BCSC) courses, you are required to submit two writing samples of approximately 500 words each. The samples cannot be edited by anyone other than you.
You will not be considered for enrolment in BCSC courses until the writing samples have been submitted.
Demo performances
If you are applying to MacEwan's Music program, you must submit two demo performances, each representing a different musical style or genre. The performances should be between three and five minutes. Provide YouTube links to the demos in your application.
