Duties/responsibilities
You may have the following duties and responsibilities when working in the field. Career postings for an educational assistant, for example, expect graduates with the some of the following qualifications:
- Assist with the preparation of daily progress reports and anecdotal records for the student as directed by the special needs facilitator or classroom teacher.
- Obtain and organize the student's materials and equipment in preparation for classroom activities.
- Reinforce learning concepts with the student under the direction of the special needs facilitator or classroom teacher.
- Support students of all ages and abilities to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills in ways which improve their academic success.
