PRIVATE LESSONS | TRUMPET

We are all gifted musicians as listeners. We know what good music is; when was the last day you did not hear music in some form or another. I teach students of all ages how to interpret the music as a player and what to be aware of when making sound. I feel fortunate and inspired by the process of our learning together.

About

Russell is a member of Bok Brass and performs with the Edmonton Symphony and many of the ensembles and choirs in both jazz (commercial music) and classical music throughout Edmonton.

Russell is a music educator of many stripes: He teaches at MacEwan University Conservatory of Music, the University of Alberta, and through his home. He works with bands and individual musicians of all ages and levels, adjudicates at festivals and also has a trumpet class he teaches at the Conservatory.

Music is Russell's passion and he believes it is his goal to pass that passion on to those who choose to pursue music, no what matter the level.
