Mitch Zorich
About
Mitch is an Edmonton based freelance guitarist and instructor. He has been playing guitar since his mid-teens when he was instantly hooked after listening to Randy Rhoads on Crazy Train. This inspired him to practice regularly which led to performing in clubs with cover bands at the age of 18. Soon after that, he decided to leave his full-time job in the small town he grew up in to pursue music. His primary instrument is the electric guitar, but while attending college, he also began studying the classical guitar. He has studied with some of Edmonton’s finest instructors, and in Los Angeles with Greg Howe (the touring guitarist for Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake).
Mitch has been teaching a variety of guitar styles and methods since 2002. He is an instructor at MacEwan Conservatory of Music and Music Faculty at Suzuki Charter School. In addition to teaching the Suzuki Guitar Method, he prepares students for Royal Conservatory of Music practical examinations and entrance auditions to post-secondary music programs. Some of Mitch's students have gone on to achieve Royal Conservatory of Music Gold Medals and first place performances in Provincial Music Festivals.
Lesson
Lessons are available for electic and acoustic guitar. He teaches ages 5 to adult, from beginner to advanced levels, RCM levels 1-7, and the suzuki method.
Various styles include metal, rock, pop, blues, classical, basic jazz and country.
Lessons are available in-person at the Alberta College Campus or online.
Mitch's studio is currently full therefore not accepting new students. Submit a request for guitar lessons. Based on your information, the Conservatory office will connect you with a teacher.

Performances / compositions / recordings
- Mitch performs in a variety of settings from weddings, proposals, private parties, art gallery exhibits, tribute and cover bands, radio, television and studio sessions.
- Mitch currently performs with Scar Tissue – Red Hot Chili Peppers Tribute band, Pepperland – Beatles Cover band, and performed with a Metallica Tribute band.
