PRIVATE LESSONS | VIOLIN

conservatory instructor
I believe art and music contribute profoundly to the intellectual development of children and are essential parts of a well rounded education! A student can expect to be challenged and inspired in my studio and be motivated to work to the best of their ability.

Education

  • Studied at the Royal Acadamy of Music in Glasgow, Scotland
  • Studied with Ivan Kiss from the Bela Bartok school in Budapest, Hungary
  • Studied at the University of Alberta
  • Edmonton A.R.C.T. Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto
My children have been taking violin lessons for years. It is never easy to make the children practice; however, I can say that they now do not fuss (much) when I ask them to, and in fact, they have, from time to time, started practicing on their own without my insistence (they are 6 and 9 years old). That shows to me that they are inspired by Marie to play their violin.
