About

Cellist Joanne Yu is an active freelance musician and music teacher in Edmonton. Joanne is a 3 time member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and performed in many festivals in Canada and the US, including Banff, Orford, Domain Forget, and Colorado Springs. Experienced and skilled in solo, chamber, and orchestral music, she enjoys performing and teaching all levels and styles of music.

Lessons

Joanne offers in-person lessons at the Alberta College Campus on Saturdays. Lessons are available for ages 5 to adult, from beginner to advanced levels (RCM Levels 1-10). She teaches classical cello from the Royal Conservatory or Music or Suzuki curriculum.
