elizabeth Gawrachynsky

About
Elizabeth Gawrachynsky, soprano, holds a Bachelor of Music With Distinction in voice performance from the King's University, Edmonton where her studies included vocal pedagogy, conducting, and piano. Further studies include graduate courses in the areas of sacred music and Gregorian chant through Duquesne University and at Catholic University of America.
In addition to her busy private teaching practice, Mrs. Gawrachynsky works as a church musician at St. Joseph's Basilica where she is Choral Assistant. She directs rehearsals for the Cathedral Choir and sings in the Basilica's professional Schola Cantorum.
Past experience includes singing with Edmonton Opera Chorus, conducting an adult choir focusing on Gregorian chant, and directing a children’s choir.
Lessons
Elizabeth Gawrachynsky teaches private voice lessons to students age 8 to adult at the Alberta College Campus during weekday afternoons and evenings. Styles include classical, musical theatre, and sacred. She also teaches the Kodaly-based Music in Early Childhood Program at the Conservatory of Music.
In addition, she teaches voice and piano lessons at her private studio in Leduc and for Community Music Initiatives in Beaumont.
She prepares students for RCM examinations (including theory) and music festivals.
