About
Don Ross joined the instructional staff of MacEwan University Conservatory of Music in 1991. Don’s students are frequent competition and audition winners and he is sought after as a clinician, adjudicator, conductor and composer.
He plays some 150 shows a year, split between classical, jazz, world and experimental music. He plays regularly with such groups as Saint Crispin’s Chamber Ensemble, the Gadjo Collective gypsy band, the Edmonton Symphony, Opera Nuova, Mile Zero Dance and many others. He also teaches clarinet at the University of Alberta, King’s and MusiCamp Alberta. In 2003 he was named an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre. He has adjudicated over eighty music festivals, including nationals.
Lessons
Don offers lessons online or in-person at the Alberta College Campus from September to June. Lessons are available for all ages, levels, and styles.
