PRIVATE Lessons

Pursue your love of music with music lessons.

Music lessons are for children, teens, and adults of all ages. We offer beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. All members of the community are welcome. You do not need to be a University student to take private lessons at the Conservatory. Lessons are available online and in-person.

Price ranges from $25-40 (30 minutes), $40-55 (45 minutes), $50-70 (60 minutes) per music lesson. Confirm with a teacher the specific number of lessons to schedule. 

Voice
Learn to sing opera, classical, musical theatre, jazz and contemporary styles. Singing lessons are available for beginner to advanced levels.

Piano
Learn piano in classical, jazz or pop styles. Taking personalized private piano lessons allows students to improve technique, performance, theory, compositions and pedagogy at their own pace.

Strings, Guitar, Harp
Learn violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp and guitar (classical, acoustic, electric and bass). Personalized lesson plans for various styles are available for beginner to advanced levels.

Woodwinds
Learn the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon or saxophone. Lessons are available in both classical and jazz styles for various ages and levels.

Brass
Learn the trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium or tuba. Various styles are available for beginner to advanced levels.

Drums and Percussion
Learn drum set, concert percussion or hand drums. Explore jazz, rock and classical stylings. Lessons are available for all ages and levels.

Musicianship and Theory
Learn rudiments, harmony, counterpoint, ear training, history and composition. Prepare for music exams, improve musicianship and build confidence.

Conservatory of Music lessons online

Online music lessons are available through the Conservatory of Music.

Over 60 teachers provide music lessons online for piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, double bass, electric bass, guitar, harp, oboe, clarinet, flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium, tuba, drums, percussion, music theory and performance coaching.
