DEPARTMENT of PSYCHOLOGY

Research

Collaborative, hands-on, in-depth—undergraduate psychology students have extensive and diverse research opportunities at MacEwan University. Here you can support faculty research, focus on a personal area of interest or dig into fascinating theories with your lab partner.

Independent studies courses and the Honours program thesis provide the most in-depth research options. Some research labs also accept student volunteers as research assistants.

PSYC 498 Advanced Independent Study

Bring on the research. In this senior-level course, you work with an instructor to explore a specific topic through research or directed reading in primary and secondary sources. You take the lead by planning, executing and reporting the results of your independent research or study project. This course can be taken twice for credit.
