Music Spaces

Amazing acoustics, stunning performance venues, high-end recording studios and soundproof practice spaces—our spaces are designed with both musician and music lover in mind.

Spaces for teaching music have vastly different requirements than your average classroom. The music rooms in Allard Hall include sound-resistant practice spaces, recording studios and digital audio production suites, ensemble rooms, teaching studios and other spaces designed to facilitate masterclasses and other courses, and rehearsals for directed ensembles, bands and combos.

This kind of space doesn’t exist in a lot of undergraduate universities. In terms of the recording studio's capabilities, isolation and how quiet it is, it’s a lot like some of the really good professional studios in major cities.
