DEPARTMENT of ARTS and CULTURAL MANAGEMENT

CULTURE & COMMUNITY

In the Allard Hall atrium or the heart of downtown, on campus or in the community—MacEwan University and the city of Edmonton's vibrant arts and culture scene provide the perfect classroom.

Creative campus

At Allard Hall, we work alongside faculty and student-artists who are passionate about acting, singing, sculpting, painting, dancing and performing. Here our students mingle with—and are inspired by—the people they are advocating for, managing and supporting when they enter the workplace.

Culture and the city

You're in the right city for learning how to manage and support the creative sector. Edmonton is home to North America's biggest—and first—Fringe festival, Canada's largest living history park and a world-class art gallery in the heart of the Arts District. We have a thriving music scene, with folk, blues, jazz and rock festivals. Our festivals embrace winter and celebrate summer.

A home in the heart of the city

Designed by world-renowned architect Bing Thom, Allard Hall blends learning and performance spaces with a public art gallery, gathering places and a central atrium. We are thrilled about our perfectly located home in the heart of Edmonton's thriving downtown arts and music scene.
