Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Learn about the world of scholarship of teaching and learning through information sessions, research, a learning community and our open-access journal. We understand that each path of inquiry may be different and research experience may vary. We are here to support you at all stages of inquiry.
This series is for faculty who are intrigued by SoTL or who need a refresher. You will be introduced to the key components of strong SoTL projects—from crafting a compelling research question or selecting the right methodology to ethics review and dissemination avenues. Through hands-on activities, you achieve your SoTL project goals. All faculty can participate in the SoTL series—sessional, tenure-track, and tenured faculty. Contact us for more information.
The SoTL fund supports MacEwan University faculty members’ scholarly inquiry into effective teaching and learning practices and the sharing of these findings with colleagues across the institution and beyond its doors.
Pedagogical Inquiry and Practice (PIP) is a MacEwan University publication dedicated to the study of significant educational experience in post-secondary institutions using a range of theoretical, methodological and disciplinary approaches. MacEwan faculty are invited to make a submission to this peer-reviewed, Canadian open-access journal.
