Part social and part practical, our New Faculty Learning Community connects you to other new faculty members and introduces you to MacEwan University in a collegial and supportive environment.

ADHD Learning Community

The Community of Practice for Faculty with ADHD is designed for faculty members who manage attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) while navigating their careers. This community provides a safe space for faculty members to connect, share experiences and provide support and encouragement in addressing the unique challenges and opportunities for faculty with ADHD.

The purpose of this community is to create a network of peers that understands the intricacies of balancing academic responsibilities with ADHD. Through regular meetings, you have the opportunity to discuss practical strategies for time management, organization, focus and work-life balance. As well, this learning community creates and shares a repository of tools, techniques and resources to support your academic role.

GenAI Learning Community

In this learning community, you discuss how AI affects your courses, keep up to date on the latest AI developments in higher education, share innovative uses of AI and seek support in addressing teaching challenges that AI presents.

SoTL Level Up! 

Are you ready to elevate your Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) research? We can help you reach the next level by setting clear goals, assessing project feasibility and developing a tailored schedule that considers your full research cycle, including dissemination. While all faculty—sessional, tenure-track, and tenured—are welcome to join the SoTL Community of Practice, this program is designed for those with a strong foundational understanding of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
