Intercultural Competence

Our students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds, and the entire academic community—students and faculty alike—can benefit from improved cultural awareness and understanding.

In this program, you develop intercultural competence through a variety of activities and exercises, advancing your own competence and learning how to guide your students in developing theirs.

This program has three levels. Certificates are awarded at the completion of each level.

Level 1 • UNDERSTANDING – Understanding Intercultural Competence
Level 2 • APPLICATION – Engaging in Cultural Encounters
Level 3 • TRANSFER – Incorporating Intercultural Competence in Course Delivery
