NURS-0340 Health Assessment Workshops
Health assessment is a key component in the role of a health care professional working in long term care. Clients breathing and sleeping patterns; skin, systemic, and mood changes; pain; even when charting, health care workers need to use assessment skills.
This practical workshop will provide the opportunity to review the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain a health history and perform a health assessment. Physical examination of an adult will be presented and practiced along with discussion on the special consideration that a dementia client may require.
Prerequisites: RNs, LPNs
