Change of Name
Please immediately advise the Office of the Registrar, in writing, of any change in your name so that your student/alumni records remain accurate. Anyone wishing to have MacEwan records reflect a name change must provide the Office of the University Registrar with at least one of the following official government-issued pieces of identification:
- Valid Driver’s License*
- Provincial ID Card*
- Passport *
- Citizenship Documentation
*Only current identification will be recognized as valid. Expired identification will not be accepted for name change. Under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Alberta, the student must complete, sign and date the Change Of Name form. The Registration staff member shall verify identification and record the applicable number on the form. A photocopy of presented identification may be required.
Change of Address
We need to know of any change in your address or telephone number. This information is considered confidential and is used for MacEwan business only. Complete a Change Of Address form in person or mail a post office change notice.
If you are a current program student at MacEwan, you have the ability to change your address online using myStudentSystem. Log in to myMacEwan.ca and follow the links to launch myStudentSystem. In your Student Center, enter the "GeneralInfo" tab and edit your personal information as needed.
MacEwan will create and maintain student records necessary to meet the administrative and academic needs of MacEwan and shall collect, store, disclose, retain and dispose of all information contained therein in accordance with the Records & Information Management Policy of MacEwan and provincial/federal legislation pertaining to Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy.
