Informative workshops and panels, hangouts and shows—participate in a variety of events during Pride Week.
In March each year, the MacEwan Centre for Sexual and Gender Diversity hosts Pride Week, celebrating the diversity of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and allies. This awareness-raising and celebratory week aims to create and support a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in the university community, and build bridges to the broader Edmonton community.
Pride Week 2025
From March 10 to 14, we had inspiring speakers, a market featuring local queer makers, casual hangouts, and a GayLa to wrap up the week. The theme was “the queer agenda,” where we flipped the script—embracing the here and now, celebrating queer joy, and imagining a future full of endless possibilities.
MacEwan’s Pride Week 2025 was brought to you by the YEG Campus Pride Network (MacEwan University, University of Alberta, Concordia University of Edmonton, NAIT, NorQuest College, and The King’s University).
