Come try on entrepreneurship. Even if you aren’t going to run with your idea forever, we can help you explore the possibilities. There is no fee to join the program, and it is open to the entire MacEwan community—student, staff and faculty.

What you learn

In this workshop series, you learn the skills needed to successfully run a small business or to be an entrepreneur. Added bonus—these also happen to be important life skills!

  • Storytelling for presentations and public speaking
  • Project management
  • Leadership and team building

The workshops also covers more business-specific topics such as customer discovery, validation, prototyping, building a business canvas, creating your positioning and more.

Workshop series

The RBC Foundation Ventures @ MacEwan program consists of hands-on workshops followed by a mentoring period, which culminates in a pitch competition. The workshops are led by MacEwan’s entrepreneur in residence who encourages aspiring entrepreneurs and business people to make their start-up dreams come true.
